David Williamson, Attorney

​David Williamson is a business lawyer and family law attorney. David’s practice areas include divorce, child custody, and advising clients on a wide array of Oregon business law. He assists both for-profit and nonprofit businesses with entity formation, tax exemption law, general tax law, employment law, real estate, and transactional law. David is skilled at drafting contracts.

Raised in Oregon

​David is an Oregon native born and raised in Eastern Oregon. David’s life has always been rather non-traditional. He was the third of seven children, and he is first member of his family to earn an advanced degree.

Army Service and Legal Training

​David enlisted in the U.S. Army and became a paralegal after graduating from high school. In the years that followed his military service, David worked in a variety of workplace environments and industries. Ultimately, David enrolled in the local community college and spent the next six years earning two bachelor’s degrees (political science and cognitive neuroscience). David earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Oregon (2015).

After law school, David served as a judicial clerk at the Lane County Circuit Court for the Honorable Lauren Holland and then for the Honorable Karsten Rasmussen. Following his clerkships, David first worked for a premiere business law firm in Salem. He then went to work for a boutique law firm in Eugene specializing in all aspects of nonprofit and tax-exempt law.
